What data do you want to store on the D drive? Are you wanting users to submit their InfoPath forms to a UNC share within the orgainization instead of in SharePoint? If you are using SharePoint already with InfoPath I would recommend keeping both the published InfoPath form .xsn and the submitted forms .xml along with their metadata inside SharePoint.

This is the InfoPath forum. is your question related to InfoPath at all? It doesn't appear to be based off the actual question you asked. When you say "create new site," are you referring to an entire site collection, or just a sub-site? Before I get into that, it's important to know that SharePoint data doesn't just go on a D drive. All SharePoint data goes into the SharePoint SQL Server content database. If your SQL .MDF files are on your D drive, then sure, the data will be on your D drive. However, you don't just create a site and specify that all data for that site goes onto a network drive. SharePoint isn't a file system where you just dump documents onto a drive. It's a full, database-driven web application. So, when you create a new site collection, you have the option of using the createsiteinnewdb STSADM command, which allows you to put it in a specific content database, but this content DB is still inside the SQL Server. Sub-sites have no such option. SharePoint Architect || Microsoft MVP || My Blog

> I'm new on Sharepoint 2007, how to change data location when create new site? I want place all data on D: drive. This is the second post of yours which has been posted by you within a few hours to a second forum and thus would have wasted people's time there if I had not deleted it there (in general). Again post any one question to ONE forum only. General is not the place to post duplicate posts (and nor is any other forum). General is for General questions such as licensing issues; what is the difference between different SharePoint products etc. Any question sent there does not go also to any other forum. I hope that you will do better in future.
