Data base size is increasing quickly.
In my sharepoint WSS3 server the following files are increasing by its size quickly , C:\WINDOWS\SYSMSI\SSEE\MSSQL.2005\MSSQL\Data1. WSS_Search_SHAREPOINT_log.LDF2. WSS_Content_log.LDFAnybody can help me to find a solution for this issue.Thanks,Aji

The log files do increase to be quite large since we do cloaning on our sharepoint farm we changed them to simple backup I belive our DBA called it and are log file shrank exponentially from 75 GB to 8 MB in some cases.

But my sql server is 2005 Embedded edition, how can I connect to it....

You have to download the SQL Express tools seperately and onnect to the instance. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=C243A5AE-4BD1-4E3D-94B8-5A0F62BF7796&DisplayLang=en Routine backup and or maintenance plans will help keep your log size down.

Although one of these files is a Search file, I'm moving it to the Admin forum as it's really not a Search question.

Hi,I have the same issue.. Logfile is getting bigger and bigger.. What did you do to gett the ldf smaller? @all other: Is there a general best-practise?

Thank you for the tip. It worked beautifully. Microsoft should have writteen something to inform the first time user on how connect ##SSEE database via sql server mgmt studio express. Without your hint, I would never figure it out myself.
