Data Validation in MOSS 2007
How do I go about data validation between different columns in different lists in MOSS 2007?

Please make two different posts (with different titles) when you have two different questions. Here the second question matches your Title so I'm going to delete the first part of the text. Please re-post just that first part with a Title to match. (Moderator) Later: thanks for doing this! For the lookup you could create a calculated column that merges all the relevant data together and possibly adds text to be more descriptive. You would then point your lookup field to the calculated column. Here is a blog post where I described the approach. The post is for 2010, so you wont be able to display individual columns within the new list, however other than that it should be pretty close to the same for 2007: http://www.sharepoint911.com/blogs/jennifer/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?List=03eb5002%2Ddb5e%2D4f06%2Dbd2d%2D3b7b00d3de82&ID=48&Source=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Esharepoint911%2Ecom%2Fblogs%2Fjennifer%2FPages%2F2010BlogPosts%2Easpx For validation across lists, you would need to do something custom since it is not available out of the box. ~Jennifer Mason ~My Blog~ ~SharePoint Support~ ~SharePoint Training~ ~Follow me on Twitter!~

Mike - I get what you are doing but you removed the part of the question that I answered leaving an answer that doesn't make much sense with the question :)~Jennifer Mason ~My Blog~ ~SharePoint Support~ ~SharePoint Training~ ~Follow me on Twitter!~
