Data Soure Name Not found and no default driver specified
I have added Script Component to existing SSIS package. Connection Manager used in the script is same as other parts of package is using. But I keep getting the following error message.
Error at Data Flow Task[Script Component[3479]]: System.Data.Odbc.OdbcException: Error[IM002][Microsoft][ODBC Drive Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

What I understood: you get the error only from the Script Task, and the same way configured connection works elsewhere, am I right? I am sure there is a difference, now we need to see where, besides, the Script Task does not interact with the connection
managers the same way.
To start off, I would take this script to a VB/C# app to run in order to narrow down to where the issue is, perhaps it is as simple as an issue with a connection string.
As an aside: I am not sure why you needed the connection manager in a script.Arthur My Blog
