Dashboards from SCOM Console to Web Console
Hello I have several dashboards with multiple performance views which works fine when I am using the SCOM Console. BUT when using the web console I have several issues: 1. I am loosing the name of the views, display name present in the Management Pack(only the name of the dashboard is displayed) 2. All checked boxes in the SCOM Console are availble to be checked again on the web console but are not set as it is on teh SCOM Console, is it the correct behavior. I I want to make available for operators a web console with certains views with certains servers pre-checked how should I do? - The actual user of the web console is member of Operator Profile... Hello, 1. I am loosing all "Performance View" header names ... only the "Dashboard View" header name is displayed once on top... the dashboard view is called "xxxx- Active Directory" the performanve views are called: "DC Active Alerts" "xxxx - DNS Server Alerts" "DC State" "Domain Health State View" "Topology" "DNS Server Events" SCOM Console: The performance view names appear in middle pane the SCOM Console. The dashboard view name appears in the Navigation Pane in the SCOM Console. Web Console: http://Servername:51908/default.aspx the dashboard view name appears in the Navigation pane the dasbboard view name appears on top of all performance views in the middle pane. no other name is displayed ** also the "DNS Server Events" view is giving another error: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-IE/operationsmanagergeneral/thread/9fb06dd7-5987-49ec-8a63-0b5da8037303 2. Any way to have a Web Console dashboard only in reading mode with the servers selected within the Console? Hi, Please try again referring to the following post: Configuring SCOM 2007 R2 Performance Views and Dashboards for Monitoring Azure Applications http://blogs.msdn.com/b/walterm/archive/2011/04/28/configuring-performance-views-and-dashboards-for-monitoring-azure-applications.aspx Meanwhile, please see if adjusting Web.Config settings helps: OpsMgr R2 Web Console Web.Config settings http://blogs.technet.com/b/michaelpearson/archive/2009/11/30/opsmgr-r2-web-console-web-config-settings.aspx Hope this helps. RE: Issue #1 - View titles not appearing in Dashboard Views in the Web Console This is a known issue. There is no plan to fix this at this time for R2. I'm going to escalate this bug to the team that handles our Cumlative Updates and see if it can get approved for the next cumlative update. I can't make any promises of course, but I'll do my best to fight for it. RE: Issue #2 - Web Console remembering selected Performance Counters in the Performance Counter View The selected counters are stored in a cookie for each user. There's no way for the OpsMgr Admin or Author to pre-define what counters are selected for a given view. Once the user selects counters, they should be persisted when the user returns to that view. The selected counters are stored in a cookie on that user's machine.Michael Pearson OpsMgr Performance Test Team http://blogs.technet.com/michaelpearson/ This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
