Dafult Date doesn't work in Datasheet view
I have a SharePoint list which runs calculations based off of today's date. I have a date/time column that defaults to today's date and everything works fine if I add/edit items individually. However, when trying to add an item to the datasheet view, I get an error saying that the list structure has changed. During troubleshooting I noticed that when I try to add an item in the datasheet view, the Date column won't default with today's date, but instead shows ####. If you click on that cell it enters a date of 12/31/1899, then when you click off to a different cell it returns to ####. I have to assume that this issue with defaulting to today's date is whats causing the problems. Any idea?

Hi DW425, First, I suggest you to remove check-box columns from the view. You can refer to this thread to get some information about this: https://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.sharepoint.portalserver.development/browse_thread/thread/b7432caee5b0f807?hl=en&pli=1ceren. If the above solution can’t solve your problem, have a try of the method from this blog post: http://bmerri19.wordpress.com/. Thanks & Regards, Peng Lei

Peng Lei, thanks for the feedback. I thought the above were an issue as well, however, these comps are used in another list of mine that doesn't contain checkboxes or links and the problem still exists.
