Hi, While Configuring the Job Step in SQL Agent, You can go to the advanced tab and set the what action is to be done on failure of the step. Here you can have skip few steps and send a error notification, or end the job reporting error . Regards satheesh

For your job right click and choose Properties > Steps > Advanced > On failure action: Quit the job reporting failure. Then go to Notifications for your job > check Email and choose receiver > When the job fails.

Hi irusul, In this the jobs is started to running at that particular time. But the inside of the DTS packages task getting error when the execution some days due to not create connection to Access data base or some other reason like that. In this way it will only sent Failure mail if it's not started to run at particular time right? , Also In this once i click on the email options as in the second picture, whom it will sent an email. It didn't ask me the to email address anywhere. I need to sent out failure email to an entire DL. Thanks for your reply, and i am still waiting for your reply.Dhinesh Kumar,
