DTEXECUI.exe not running properly in management console
Hello All, I am having a problem getting the Integration Services to run an export package that I created in a database. The package runs fine if I tell it to execute now and save to SQL. It also runs fine from the dtexec command prompt utility. But, when I run it in the management console I get the error stating that Execute Package Utility has stopped working. I looked in the applications log and found this error: Fault bucket , type 0 Event Name: CLR20r3 Response: Not available Cab Id: 0 Problem signature: P1: dtexecui.exe P2: 9.0.242.0 P3: 434f5df5 P4: DTExecUI P5: 9.0.242.0 P6: 434f5df5 P7: 2 P8: 1d P9: System.IO.FileNotFoundException P10: Attached files: C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Local\Temp\WERBD38.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml These files may be available here: C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\AppCrash_dtexecui.exe_8940735ca5304e1ac181cfcb34ded32fbe5a296a_1575c5ef Analysis symbol: Rechecking for solution: 0 Report Id: 8c93734b-4088-11e0-b53e-001c239534ab I am not sure why this works from the command prompt utility but not in the console. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have gotten this to work on another SQL 2005 machine and I have already uninstalled and reinstalled on this machine with no errors reported during the install. Regards, Rob

Moat likely an issue with the GUI component as it just builds the command prompt string and calls DTExec with it. What have you "uninstalled and reinstalled"? the whole SQL bundle?Todd C - MSCTS SQL Server 2005 - Please mark posts as answered where appropriate.
