DP role and BranchCache questions

Hello to all. I will migrate a SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012 R2 in a new hierarchy. I checked MS SCCM 2012 R2 MOC, found contradictory information and would like to clarify it. Here it goes:

1- As my new hierarchy will have just one Primary (Stand-Alone Primary), can this server also host a Distribution Point role?

2- If I use BranchCache in SCCM 2012 R2 (it's not used on current SCCM 2007), can I also deploy Windows Updates through it (of cource, using SCCM 20012 R2 SUP role) or is it just for Application deployment and OSD?

   Regards, EEOC.

1. yes the SP can be DP.

If it`s possible for you to do SP and SQL on same box and have DP,MP,SUP on another box would probably be better.
2. Yes you can use BranchCache for software update deployment.
