I have recently installed a new Win 2012 R2 server for backups and installed DPM 2012 R2 (including RU7) with a separate SQL 2012 instance on a server dedicated to SQL.

I set up some protection groups and then realised I needed to make some changes to the PG which did SQL Server backups. I removed a couple of instances from the PG and clicked Update Groups then went home.

Back in front of the console next day and the MMC is still sitting with the results column "In Progress..."

Anyone have any ideas?

Its not the domain\user as seen elsewhere.

I cant remove and recreate PGs either as the console hangs on the commit stage here too.

I'm almost wondering if I need to remove DPM and reinstall from scratch.
