After installing the recommended updates DPM 2012 R2 fails to start, all I get is a white box.

When I close the program (red cross top right) and message pop up saying mmc can't be started, managed to get this out of the error

Also, SQL Server Agent and SQL Server services wont start, manual starting of them dose not work.

Error:

"Windows could not start SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) service on Local Computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start."

Service SQL Server has no dependency's

Service SQL Server Agent is dependant of SQL Server.
