DPM Custom Report
I'm probably not the first person that thinks that the DPM reports included with DPM2010 leave a lot to be desired.  I unfortunately do not know how to write a custom report.  Can someone help me write a simple DPM custom report... All I would like is a report sent to me daily that has each basically three columns... Server Name, Whether the backup was successful or failed, and Error code in case of failure.  Doesn't even have to be pretty.  I would really appreciate it.  Thanks.

Hi,

Buchatech has a nice blog posting that walks you through creating a custom DPM report. See

Thanks,

Marc

Yeah I saw that, but when I tried to create the report following that, the results were not good.  I need a bit more help.

I am also wondering about this.

I have managed to get to where you suggest myself, but im at aloss of how to filter the creation date.

How can i filter the creation date to show only last 24 hours, or maybe last 7 days.

What i would really like, is a view as simple as possible. Something that will just list out any datasources With a status that is NOT ok (status 2) at the time of the report.

I do not need to know if something was wrong earlier, i want to know only of the active errors like the Active alerts page in monitoring on the console.

When i list status 3 from recoverypoint disk, i will get a lot of errors even if all errors are allready fixed. Since it lists all errors that have occured, not the errors that are still a problem.

Since DPM usually manages to fiks errorr by it self, i do not need to know what has been a problem, i would like to list only what is a problem right now.
