Preface: I am a System Center novice.

I have a couple of questions:

1.  If I were to want to depreciate Symantec Backup Exec (7.0) from my environment, can DPM 2012 R2 "consume" those backups taken by Backup Exec should I need to restore them at a later date?

2.  Can DPM 2012 R2 backup VMWare 5.5?  Is there an authoritative source of information on TechNet or VMWare I could review (I've looked and have only been able to find blog posts).

3.  Are there any integration points with DPM and HP 3PAR?

My goal is to have a single console for backups/restores and I'd like to know if DPM could provide this to me and in what manners.  We are not looking to keep Symantec Backup Exec which has served as the backup solution for the other listed areas.
