DOCAVE for Sharepoint 2013 - Procedures - Best Practice

Dear All,

We are going to deploy DocAve Backup and Restore solution for Microsoft SharePoint as Backup software, our infrastructure description a single domain, single site and single SharePoint farm contains the following:

2 front-end Servers (Hyper-V VM) software load balanced

2 Application servers (Hyper-V VM)

2 SQL instances Active-Active cluster

I dont know this point will help or not but we have (TSM) Tivoli Storage Manager which is responsible for backing up the SQL servers and other servers.

Its my first time to deal with DocAve, so if there is any advice, procedures, suggestions, concerns or best practices for deploying, implementing and managing DocAve with the SharePoint farm I will be so glad to share it with me.

Hi Waleed,

As the DocAve is a third party tool, I am not familiar with it. For your issue, I suggest you ask the DocAve support for help.

In addition, I found there was a Best Practice white paper for Microsoft SharePoint Backup and Restore, please check if it is useful for you:

Wendy

Hi Wendy,

Thanks for your help, the link is very useful, and I know it's a third tool party, but my question purpose is to get experience and knowledge from Microsoft SharePoint guys who are dealing with DocAve, it's kind of request to list the experience, concerns and experience from Microsoft perspective.

Thanks for your help and reply :-)

Regards

Waleed
