Hi all,

i am using win 7 sp1. i want to disable F8 key in order to restrict any possible access to "Advance Boot Menu".

'bcdedit /set {default} displaybootmenu no' doesnot disable F8.

any help will be appreciated.

Based on my long time research, we doesn't find any method through BCDedit to disable F8 key.

Putting a BIOS password is more secure method to achieve security.

cant set BIOS password also. have to achieve it without touching anything in BIOS or BOOT Loader.

you can try a free tool [enable/disable safemode] which make changes in the system registry and allows user to enable or disable f8 key.
