DFS shares can be accessed by IBM Aix, HP UX, CentOS
In our organisation we are planning to implement Microsoft DFS for corporate shares but we have few IBM Aix, HP UX and CentOS servers which also needs to access those DFS shares so before implementing i just want to know can DFS shares be accessed by IBM Aix, HP UX and CentOS

Hi,

I'm not quite familar with other operation systems.

From this article, we can mount NFS shares in DFS so that both Unix and Windows (with client for NFS installed) can access.

So DFS supports SMB or NFS for different shares. If Unix or CentOS cannot access SMB shares, they will not able to access SMB shares (just like Windows systems with no server for NFS installed).
