DCOM Errors - IIS WAMREG Admin Service
I've tried 3 installs now of FIM2010 RC1 following the installation guide http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee534909(WS.10).aspxincluding the steps to change DCOM securityLimit and Default for Access and Launch/Activation.Each one has DCOM errors (Below) in the event log for the IIS WAMREG Admin service following install. This seems to be because IIS WAMREG Admin Service has customized launch and activation permissions. This may be due to some specific configuration, but it's pretty much out-of-the-box 2008 STD x64 w. IISI have fixed the errors by giving svc_fim local and remote launch and activation, but wonder if others have also had this and whether it may need to be added to the install instructions.Log Name: SystemSource: Microsoft-Windows-DistributedCOMDate: 5/11/2009 2:23:08 p.m.Event ID: 10016Task Category: NoneLevel: ErrorKeywords: ClassicUser: NETWORK SERVICEComputer: HOSTNAME.DOMAINNAMEDescription:The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {61738644-F196-11D0-9953-00C04FD919C1}to the user NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE SID (S-1-5-20) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC).
