DCLauncher fails to start
I am unable to start the Document Conversion Launcher service. The only error message that I receive is "DCLauncher". Has anyone out there experienced this, and how did you resolve the issue?Configuration: 3 server farmWFE Server -APP Server - Document Conversion Load Balancingstarted successfully hereSQL Server - SQL 2000 sp4SharePoint ver:Server Enterprise 2007 (build 12.0.0.6318) Infrastructure UpdateWindows Server 2003 Ent sp1I've tried the following Resetting the farm Resetting IIS stsadm -o provisionservice -action start -servicetype Microsoft.Office.Server.Conversions.LauncherService-servicename DCLauncher Net stop and Net Start DCLauncer do not work: "the specified service does not exist as an installed service". I have replicated the issue in my Dev environment. I would totally appreciate any ideas that you may have. Thanks,Jonathan

Go to services and see if Launcher service is started. If not, start it. Then run following command:stsadm -o provisionservice -action stop -servicetype Microsoft.Office.Server.Conversions.LauncherService -servicename dclauncherthen run the start command:stsadm -o provisionservice -action start -servicetype Microsoft.Office.Server.Conversions.LauncherService -servicename dclauncherdoes it work? let me know!SSA

Did you ever get a fix for this? I am now experiencing this with my Dev Enviornment...
