Customize a Sharepoint Site with MS 2007
Hello, I work for a large company and we (our IT) buy a number of licenses for Sharepoint sites. When we need a Sharepoint site, we contact IT and they set-up the basic site with a name/title and an owner. I need to learn how to customize the various sites for what they need to be used for. Can you please recommend a good resource for this (book, on-line, etc.)? Thanks so much!

If you are a Microsoft EA (enterprise agreement) or open customer you could use training funds to get up to par. Are you looking for a formal calss or just info to read on dns, sites, Nlb (so on and so on)? Lots of documents are at listed at http://sharepoint.Microsoft.com or Check out http://technet.Microsoft.comKris Wagner, MVP, MCITP, MCTS Twitter @sharepointkris Blog: http://www.sharepointkris.com/blog

Thanks, Kris. At this point, just looking for a "basics" manual or on-line class. I only have two sites to customize right now, so I doubt my company would let a "formal class" hit our budget for that. However, if it was reasonable, and low-tech enough for a newbie to Sharepoint, I would pay for a class that was highly recommended. I looked at some of the books available through Amazon and they seemed to be either very high-tech or aimed at administrators, which I definitely am NOT. :) Judy Hearne
