Is it possible to set a specific view on a document library be default for specific people or groups? WSS 3.0.My issue is I have a group of people who are responsible for approving submitted documents, but it seems they are easily forgetful and either do not realize the documents ever need to be approved or think they already are since they have access to see them. I'd like these people to see an additional column on the document library for the approval status so they can see the document is pending, but I do not way any viewers of the library to see this column since it is both unnecessary and possibly even confusing for them.This is probably not a common setup since I don't see anything on google or here about it, but could it be done?

I think a workaround for this is to create a view which only displays the columns a reader should see and group it on the approval status. The documents a viewer cannot see are the pending ones..they are not approved yet, so a viewer will only see the group 'approved documents', just like the normal view. The approvers however also see the group 'pending documents' which is what you want.

Just three different views specific to the audience should suffice.
