Custom activity never reached
Hi fellows, I recently developed two custom activities: one authorization activity and one action activity. Those two activities are bound to the same MPR inside FIM. My problem is, whatever I do, the authorization activity is never reached. And when I say "never reached", I mean the function "InitializeComponent" of my activity is not executed at all . And yet, my other activity (the action one) is perfectly fine... I checked my dll: it's ok.I checked my configuration inside of FIM: Activity Information Configuration, Workflow, MPR: it's ok. (I even checked the XOML of my WF and it seems ok too) There is no exception. No error in the event viewer. Nothing. It's like my activity doesn't exist at all. I do not understand... Is there anyone who got the same problem? An idea about the reason and/or how to make it works? Many thanks by advance for your answers and thoughts about it.

Hi again, Ok, I knew for the sync, but not for the requests though, and don't remember reading anything about it. So, here lies the problem: my request is created by another request and therefore, don't trigger the AuthZ workflow. Thanks alot for your answer ! Now I'm wondering if there is any way to force the AuthZ workflow in that particular case? I'd really appreciate your ideas and thoughts on the subject.

I cannot merge my two activities into a single one, so that solution doesn't work for me. Therefore I'm left with the FIM WS solution, which is a nasty one, yes. But at least it can allow me to do what I want, so I guess I'll think about using it. Anyway, thanks for your useful tips... and your sympathy!

Unfortunately, we cannot afford to install the FIM 2010 R2 for the moment, so we will have to deal with what we have, the best we can. But it's a great news for those who can use it. Many thanks for sharing!

Hi, I have found another workaround to solve that problem. I have created an exact copy of the Approval Activity Information Configuration object except that I declared it as an action activity. My MPR is now triggered even if the request is spawned by another request. Has anyone experienced side effects using that method? Nathan
