Custom View containing Custom Unit Monitor
I want to create a custom view that contains the state of the custom unit monitor I created. I want all of the custom unit monitors that I've created to show up in the custom view. How can I do this?

You have to make a custom "view" management pack (or just a custom MP with views) using the Authoring Console. This MP would have to reference all the MP's that contain these monitors. Then you would simply go to the view presentation section, create a new state view, and add them. An easy cheat is to export a simple mp that has a state view so you can figure out what the XML or presentation should look like. You might be able to create a new MP in the console too that would contain a state view for those "classes". I am not sure, since I don't make view mp's that way. Mart, if I read your question correctly, you want to see the state of a monitor right? In short, you cannot just display the state of a monitor in the state view (or any other view). A monitor is always targeted to a class and manipulates the health state of a class (or other classes using roll-ups). You can easily create a state view (as Blake mentioned here) of a class and when you open the health explorer, you will see which monitor is responsible for the change of health state. If you want to see only the health state of a single monitor in the state view, you need to create your own class, target your monitor to that class (but no other monitor) and create a state view for your newly created class. cheers, StefanStefan Koell | http://www.code4ward.net
