I am working on a four step workflow in designer (SP2010) and in each step I want an email to be sent. The steps work, however, when you go to Step 2, the email in Step 1 is resent, in Step 3 the emails from Step 1 & 2 are resent  etc etc. I want it just to go step to step, not repeating the first steps and I can't figure out why it's repeating. Thoughts, suggestions?

This will probably depend on the triggering actions.  How is each step being triggered?  I'd consider adding some internal varuables so that you can track which email has been sent and then using those as conditions in the next step.
