Custom Report Item Action property disabled
I am developing a custom report item for a special ESRI mapping project we are working on. I have the map rendering perfectly and am able to create a "click-through" action via the CreateActionInfoWithDynamicImageMap and Action.Instance.HyperlinkText options, which sends report viewers out to a related google map at a translated lat/lon coordinate. That's all gravy. The problem I have is that I'd like to modify this to send my users to a separate report, or child report, which gives them some additional detail. For example, if a user clicks in the Virginia region they are sent to the Virginia report and the parameters of my current report (some of which are multi-valued) are passed on as well. In other words I can see sales by country (US) > User Clicks on VA region > sales by state (VA). This is usually pretty easy with the canned controls Action property configuration. However, I noticed immediately that the Action property of my custom report item is "greyed" out. I also noticed this to be the case in the PolygonsCRI example as well. Is this normal functionality or am I neglecting to set something in my designer? Am I restricted to what I am doing currently in my renderer which involves building a static url for each action instance I place in my CRI image map? I have to admit if that's the case, it's pretty limiting. Thanks so much in advance. Brandon
