Custom Group Health not rolling up in Health Explorer
Hi all I've created a load of custom groups for use within Visio to create a Traffic Light system - and it all works well - eg UK SQL servers, UK AD servers, Custom apps etc. Problem is that for some reason now, when there is a health alert, I am not seeing the error rollup to the top level, and so the top level visio stays healthy. This is obviously a group problem, as checking the health the object in question it shows it as critical and rolls up to the top. Open the group, and you can see the critical object at the bottom rolling up to availability or whatever, but then the next level up is still healthy I've tried maintenance mode for an hour to disable/enable, I've tried overriding the monitors at differing levels to disable/enable - no luck. No related errors in the logs on the mrs/ms servers. We have had this problem once before, but it sent away in a morning, and I assumed it was because I had done an override disable/enable which seemed to have worked. This HAS to be a groupcalc problem in my opinion - unless someone knows better. But I know nothing of the inner workings of groupcalc to do anything about it. I'd love to know if there was a way to run it manually to kick things into life.. Its getting serious now because its been well over 24hrs and the teams here use the traffic lights as visual aids for monitoring and so at the moment this is useless. A call gas been logged with MS but they have not come across this issue and they don't expect an answer soon.
