Cursor Issues

Hi there,

So I'm not to sure what happened but I went through my mouse settings, display options etc to see how to change this and I've yet to find a solution. One minute it was perfectly fine and then after a good restart the pointer felt the need to change. Now I'm not exactly sure how to explain this but I'll give it a shot!

Pretty much when I try to highlight text or just having my cursor sitting here in the text box, it looks like a giant "I" with little dots. Before it would be much smaller and a solid line. So when i try to highlight something it doesn't capture the right spot, so i have to move the mouse down slight a bit or up to make sure i'm highlighting that particular line.

I'm currently running the Windows 10 Pro with all recent updates. Not sure if this is a graphic issue, or simply clicked the wrong button somewhere and cant seem to find the switch.

Again as i mentioned I'm not to sure how to explain this any better.  Simply put it's pissing me off and would like my pointer to be back to normal the way it was before. Now the actual pointer itself is fine, it's just when I'm highlighting text, or have it positioned in any text box it shows this giant "I' compared to be smaller and a solid line. I tried to take a screenshot but sadly the mouse was not visible in the picture.

If someone can help me with this would be amazing!

Thanks in advance!

Try

Control Panel -> Mouse -> Pointers

and there select Windows Default (or any other) scheme

Thanks for the reply but sadly I've tried that and no such luck. The mouse pointer is fine it's just when it's in a text box it's all giant and dotted..

I am seeing this as well, and the cursor changes are impacting the Office programs. I cannot use Excel as well because the cursors are larger and less responsive.

In the Search box type: cursor and then click on the "Change how thick the cursor is" and make adjustments to the cursor thickness.
