Hi, As far as I know, it is scheduled to release in June or July. Regarding this query, please also refer to the following posts: The Cumulative Update 4 (CU4) for OpsMgr 2007 R2 has shipped http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman/archive/2011/02/01/opsmgr-2007-r2-cu4-rollup-hotfix-ships-and-my-experience-installing-it.aspx?PageIndex=5 Please see Kevin’s reply “CU5 is currently tracking towards June/July timeframe.” OpsMgr 2007 R2 CU5 http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-us/operationsmanagerdeployment/thread/8b0de68e-21fe-4c63-87c2-d72d7b0be09f Hope this helps. I am guessing we will not hear any specific date until it is actually released. SoO just have to wait for it.Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My BICTT Blog) - Microsoft Community Contributor 2011 Recipient

Thanks everyone, my system is currently on CU2 I was going to upgrade to CU4, but there is a bug in it that can cause Windows 2008 servers to restart non scom related services. And it was sugested to wait untill CU5 came out. Since its should be within the next month I will wait till then.Paul Arbogast

Alternative is to bring the management servers and webconsole server and the connecting GUI consoles up to CU4 and do not approve the Pending Management actions to upgrade the agents. That way you can move your scom infra up to higher CU level and leave the agents at lower level. And perhaps upgrade the Win03 machines who are not affected by this behavior.Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My BICTT Blog) - Microsoft Community Contributor 2011 Recipient

Hi Paul Sadly those who know when CU5 will be released can't say .. but unless you have a specific need to upgrade (ie you are affected by issues or limitations which are fixed in CU3 or CU4) then I'd suggest waiting. As Bob says, the alternative is to install CU4 and then just approve agent updates on windows 2003 and windows 2000 servers (which aren't affected by this issue). If you then want to update Windows 2008 and windows 2008 R2 servers do so as part of proper change management when downtime is allowed.
