Cross-Site Publishing without Managed Navigation
Please, I need some clarification regarding the implementation of a cross-site publishing solution that does not also use Managed Navigation.  Setting aside the decision to not use Managed Navigation, in this scenario is it acceptable (supported) to skip the use of a Managed Metadata field in the source item catalog?  Is skipping the Managed Metadata field contrary to cross-site publishing best

Hi

It is unavailable that Cross-Site Publishing without Managed Navigation.

In source sites, you use term sets to tag content. When you tag content with one or more terms, the terms become part of the metadata that is associated with the content. When the search system adds content to the index, it also adds the associated metadata. That metadata is later used in the target site collections when content is shown on pages, and when used for managed navigation.
