If your site server has no Internet access, simply run the console from a device with Internet access. Use that console to download updates to the deployment packages. The Internet connection of the device running the console is used for downloading the updates. Keep in mind that this doesn't work for ADRs.

hey hi peter ,

thanks for your reply. i have an query can we do some other way workaround i mean can we download all package at WSUS server as WSUS server has internet Connection and then fetch up all report from that server at the time of creation of package .. is that possible if yes then can you elaborate as per my understanding when we try to approve the updates in WSUS console it ask for Collection which i dun want to specify as i only want to downloads the updates.

OR

can we use proxy at SCCM site . i mean proxy configuration i didn't do it in my past . what does proxy server actully do ?

Hi,

Since you have SCCM, you should no longer use WSUS console for update approval.
