Creating a subfolder structure for Shared DataSets
Is there any method available to create a subfolder structure for a shared dataset? We've created a shared dataset in SSRS that contains about 30 columns and deployed it to Report Manager. When a user opens the dataset in Report Builder 3.0, they are presented with one long list of columns. I want to have a tree structure where I have subfolders such as Customer and Product and add the related columns under each of the related folders. This would make it easier for users to navigate the data columns when creating an ad-hoc report in Report Builder 3.0. David davidg12

Hi David, Thanks for your question. According to your description, I understand that you would like to create a subfolder structure for Shared Datasets. Actually, the 30 columns constitute an entirety of the Dataset, if whichever column being split from the Dataset, the Dataset’s structure is imperfect. In order to achieve your requirement, the easiest way is creating more than one shared Datasets for various users. Hope it helps you, if your issue still exists, please feel free to let me know.
