Creating a rotating notification schedule (SCOM 2012)
Hi, I'm looking for a way to create a rotating on-call schedule for notifications. 3 different recipients would be on-call for 1 week every 3 weeks. I find the notification schedules for recipients severely lacking as I would hope SCOM would have had the same scheduling options as Windows Task Scheduler. Right now I'm thinking my best hope would be to create seperate PowerShell scripts for each on-call person that would be executed via Windows Task Scheduler and enable/disable the current on-call person. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. -Matt

You might want to do a proof of concept on these (depends if there is budget for a 3rd party solution): http://www.derdack.com/ http://www.mir3.com/telalert Cheers GrahamRegards Graham New System Center 2012 Blog! - http://www.systemcentersolutions.co.uk View OpsMgr tips and tricks at http://systemcentersolutions.wordpress.com/

Before looking into a 3rd party solution to do a simple on-call rotation I'll probably look into creating some powershell scripts that will run using Microsoft's own task scheduler on the SCOM server to enable/disable the on-call person.
