Creating a Microsoft Report Viewer Server
Good day, I need assistance creating a Report Viewer Server. What I want to do is host it locally to test a website I'm developing to generate reports using the ReportServer.
I am able to create a reporting project using SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio, and the reports work fine during debugging but I wish to deploy it to IIS http:\\<<my local machine>>\ReportServer but I can't seem to find a way
to set it up in IIS (as a service?). Could someone please help me or at least point me in the right direction. All the search result I'm getting are how to create report views but not how to create/setup the server to which it will be deployed
to?
Thanks in Advance,
Jaco

Hi jaco,
SQL 2008 onwards, SSRS does not use IIS, it uses HHTP.SYS protocal for web components.
If you have installed the SSRS, you can find the Reporting Service Configuration Manager in start manu and from there you can find the links of reportserver url.- Chintak (My Blog)

Hi JacoSchu,
We don't need to create a Report Viewer Server. If we install Reporting Services successfully, we can directly deploy the reports to Report Server. Here are some articles for your reference, please see:
