Creating Templates in Report Builder 3.0 (SharePoint Mode)
When I say new report in Report Builder 3.0 (SharePoint integrated - SQL 2008 R2). Is there a way for RB to open a template at that point of time? I am reading a book on SSRS which tells about how to create a report template for BIDS environment by putting and RDL in c:\program files\ Microsoft visual studio 10.0\common7\IDE\private\assemblies\ProjectItems\ReportProject However I don't use BIDS. I use Report builder which is launched from a SP2010 document library which has the SSRS content types. Is there a location in SP where I can put an RDL file and then the Report builder would start considering it as a template?MSDNStudent Knows not much!

this link: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlreportingservices/thread/815bbf70-3d36-4cb3-8af6-278f399e16fa describes a method where you basically create your templates in a staging folder and you open the template from that folder and then use Save As to save it as a new name. Pretty sure that is going to be your only option... Convert DTS to SSIS | Document SSIS | 30+ SSIS Tasks | Real-time SSIS Monitoring | Quick Starts | BI Blitz

Hello, One workaround that we can design a template report and then upload it to SharePoint site. So, we can re-use the template report to design the expected report.
