Create sharepoint site
Hello everyone i got a question, We are running sharepoint 2007 and i would like to be able to 'create sites' automatically. Ideal it would be to call it through a workflow but is there any way to do this or is it impossible? I found a nice addon for sharepoint 2010 here: http://www.ilovesharepoint.com/2012_06_01_archive.html but i kinda would like the same thing with sharepoint 2007 is this possible? If not ,is it possible to create a button to create a site and the only thing the user has to input is the name of the site (everythign else like template for example should already be set). Thx in advance.

Hi fio, If you want to use SharePoint Designer to create a site, please check out this link: http://www.dmcinfo.com/Blog/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/4327/Automatically-Create-a-Site-Using-SharePoint-Designer-Workflow.aspx also, there are some third party custom activity packs that you can purchase and install on your farm that provide these, e.g: http://www.virtosoftware.com/wikis/sharepoint-workflow-designer/sharepoint-site-amp-group-management-activities.aspx (Please Note: The third-party product discussed here is manufactured by a company that is independent of Microsoft. We make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product's performance or reliability.)
