Create option for webpart page is grayed/disabled
My site is commerce server default site. When i try to create any new basic page or webpart page , the create button option is disable. Can anyone please help me in this. Are there any services which needs to activate for the enabling of button. Site Actions-> Create -> web pages(category) under this webpart page , this is the path i m following to create any basic page/webpart page. There's no issue of permissions. Thanks -NK

- Verify if anyone else checked out the page - Edit Page will be disabled if there aren't any editable objects like Web Part Page without Web Part Zones. --Cheers

Prasath the create page which opened for the creation of webpart page/basic page is sharepoint page not a custom page. Is there any way of checking whether that page is checked out or not. and also my question is of create option not a edit page option. Thanks -NK

It is the Create menu in Site Actions grayed out? Did you activate Office SharePoint Server Publishing feature? --Cheers

Post your questioins on Commerce Server Thread. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/commserver2009/threads Answer to your question is first create Document library and then create webpart page by selecting Document library. If no document library available then Create button will be disabled.

> Post your questioins on Commerce Server Thread. The reply was "We are using WSS 3.0 for e-commerce site. " In other words he is NOT using Commerce Server and therefore this thread does not need to be moved anywhere. As a WSS 3.0 thread it is perfectly fine here. > Did you activate Office SharePoint Server Publishing feature? Prasath, he has WSS 3.0 so he doesn't have a Office SharePoint Server Publishing feature. >> My site is commerce server default site. > Kurmi is using Commerce Server site on top of WSS. He wrote "We are using WSS 3.0 for e-commerce site. " There is nothing there about the Commerce Server product (and remember this was *a later answer than your quote* in response to a question from me about whether he was using Commerce Server in which I quoted "My site is commerce server default site."). Enough said on this I think unless the OP wants to come in and say again that he is using WSS 3.0.
