Create an alert from result of SQL Server query or contents of a directory - Microsoft System Center Essentials 2010
Hi Can custom alerts be created in Microsoft System Center Essentials 2010 from the result of SQL Server query or contents of a directory? I usually use Powershell for this but it would be nice to centralise all my monitoring and alerts in one place.

Hi, Regarding monitoring based on the result of SQL queries, I think you can also refer to the following posts: Query a database with a monitor http://contoso.se/blog/?p=310 Query a database with a monitor part two http://contoso.se/blog/?p=1346 Need hints/tips of monitoring customized sql data http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/operationsmanagerextensibility/thread/6a63310a-008c-4503-be16-8126b69b1f53/ Hope this helps.
