Create a grouping and sub grouping in ssrs 2008 adhoc Reports
Hi,
I am dileep , newibe in ssrs 2008 adhoc reports. I want to create a grouping and subgrouping in report. How can i do it?

Hi Dileep,
As I sugget for time being is to use wizard for this, where you can select groups and sub-groups. Then you can use below toturial for some detaild info.

Thanks for your question and
Chintak’s professional reply.
According to your description, you would like to create a report with one group nest in another group in
Report builder. Below I will illustrate it for you
step by step as an addition:
1.
Switch to the Insert Menu panel, then click Table to select Table item.
2.
Drop it on the report Designer surface, and Stretch
to appropriate size.
3.
Drag the fields from the
Report Data panel to the Table (Please leave out the fields you would like to group on).
4.
Drag a field(which would be used as a parent group) from
Report Data panel to the Row Groups Panel above
Detail.
5.
Drag another field(which would be used as a child group) from
Report Data panel to the Row Groups Panel below the group you has just created in 4<sup>th</sup> step .
Note: You can drop the field above or below the group hierarchy using the guide bar to place the group as a parent group or a child group
to an existing group.
