Create Virtual Hard disk on custom VM (Gen2)

Hi there,

is there a supported way or a workaround to have the Create VHD Wizard create a customized VM? Unfortunately by default it creates Gen1 which won't support GPT (in fact, pretty silly but the default TS to VHD wizard adds partitioning incorrectly, size and disk type had to be altered for me to work properly).

I see in the DeployToVHD.log the CreateMedia.exe runs, than next steps are somewhat short on info:
Creating the VHD.    DeployToVhd    15.06.2015 15:03:28    4488 (0x1188)
Creating the VM.    DeployToVhd    15.06.2015 15:03:28    4488 (0x1188)

At the attach phase, it shows ps commands:
Running: PowerShell.exe Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope Process -Force; Import-Module Hyper-V; Add-VMHardDiskDrive -VMName 'xxxxxxx' -Path 'C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Temp\xxxxxx.vhd'    DeployToVhd    15.06.2015 15:03:34    4488 (0x1188)

I'm assuming to create the VM it uses ps too, so only a -Generation 2 switch should be added, but I didn't find a config or the the New-VM command somewhere embedded. I assume it comes built-in with DeployToVHD.exe?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.
