Create Page or Create Site? What are the consequences?
Sharepoint 2007. I cannot find any explanation of the difference in "Create page" and "Create site" once you've created the top level site. What are the differences, postives and negatives? Thanks!

Hi DanceofFaith38, Basically, Site is on top of Page in SharePoint site hierarchy. Once you’ve created a site collection which means a top level site is there, you can have multiple sub sites underneath the top level site. In each SharePoint site, you can also have several pages such as web part page and publishing pages. Here is an overview of SharePoint object hierarchy, hope it can help you clarify how they relate to each other. http://blogs.msdn.com/martinkearn/archive/2008/07/04/sharepoint-object-hierarchy-how-it-all-fits-together.aspx Thanks & Regards.Lily Wu

Thank you Lily, I guess I also need to know what the limitations are if it's a "page" versus a "site"....some of what I read on other locations indicates some restrictions, but never anything clearly defined. Mari
