Create List by Importing Spreadsheet
I'm having a problem creating a SharePoint list by importing a spreadsheet. I keep getting a MSFT Office Excel Security Notice...MSFT Office has identified a potential security concern....digital signature is invalid. I know this is from opening the spreadsheet from a website...namely a SharePoint Site. There are plenty of posts about updating the EXPTOOWS.XLA file Modify EXPTOOWS.XLAOpen the Excel add-in "EXPTOOWS.XLA" located by default in "c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\<LCID>", where <LCID> is your language identifier (for example, 1033 for a standard English installation, 1036 for a French one).Press ALT+F11 to open the Visual Basic source code editorComment out the following line : "lVer = Application.SharePointVersion(URL)" by adding a simple quote at the beginning of the lineBelow the commented line, add the following instruction : IVer = 2Save your changes, and restart the client machine. This seems like a crappy fix. My corporation isn't going to allow this as a solution. Is there anything better?

Also...is there a Service Pack that fixes this problem. I find it crazy that this doesn't work.

Hi Derek, Are you using Office 2007, if so, if you try to use an XLL together with Excel 2007, you may receive the following message: Microsoft Office has detected a potential security concern. Warning: The digital signature is valid. The error message has been fixed by Office 2007 Service Pack 1, you can try to install service pack1 to check whether it works.
