CreateTsMedia error when creating Stand-alone media: GetFileProperties failed; 0x80070003

With SCCM 2012 R2, we get error 0x80070003 when creating standalone media.  It's able to add the OS image, but when it gets to staging the applications, it gives this error.   Have already tried validating, redistributing, and creating a new revision of the application (see errors below from CreateTSMedia.log).  Is there a way to make everything in the Task Sequence update on the distribution point ?

Hi,

How many packages and applicaions in the task sequence? Please recreate stand-alone media after excluding the NET Framework 4.0.

It looks like the repository for your .Net Framework 4.0 package is corrupted. I suggest that you:

1. Delete the package.

2. Re-create the package.

3. Edit the TS to point to the new package.

If we omit one application, it just bombs on the next one (see below).  For each application task sequence, we only have at most 6 or 7 applications.  We had this error about 12 months ago and creating a new revision for the affected application fixed it and we could successfully create standalone media, but we haven't tried it in a few months.  We've since only added 1 or 2 new/modified applications to the task sequence.  Already tried validating, redistributing, and creating a new revision of the Winzip shown below.

Could it be that you have multiple drives on your DP and you renamed the drive letters?

May 27th, 2015 5:34pm

It could be related to that.  We had everything on volume E, but needed more space, so we added a volume F.  We didn't change any drive letters or explicity move any content.  SCCM seems to create new folders organically.  So we have an E:\SCCMContentLib folder shared by SCCM as SCCMContentLibE$ and an F:\SCCMContentLib folder shared by SCCM as SCCMContentLib$.  E:\SCCMContentLib only has a FileLib subfolder, while F:\SCCMContentLib has subfolders DataLib, FileLib, and PkgLib.  Looks like the CreateTsMedia.log is only referencing SCCMContentLib$ (see below).  Would removing old revisions in the Revision History help ?  (though Winzip only has 1 version in its history)

Can you please check the registry on the DP? See if drive F: is list in the value of ContentLibUsableDrives under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\DP.

The F: is not listed, then try adding it as the first entry in the list. Note that the drives in the list is separated by a comma (",").

If F: is already listed, then try moving it as the first entry in the list.

There is another registry key - ContentLibraryPath - make sure that this one points to the folder that has the complete content library folders (DataLib, FileLib, PkgLib).

Lastly, make sure that the SCCMContentLib$ share points to the folder that has the complete set of content library folders (DataLib, FileLib, PkgLib).

Yes, it's working now !!

For ContentLibUsableDrives under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\DP, had to move F:\ to the front of the list.

Thanks
