Did you find a solution to this problem? I saw the same error this morning, which is odd because I'm not using a connection to Oracle. I'm using an ADO.NET connection using the SqlClient provider, but this error is displayed when I attempt to define the SQL in the data source object.

I also have this issue when trying to use ado.net to connect to mysql database. My co-worker doesn't receive the same error. Anyone with a solution?

In my environment, this occurred when the Windows account on the box did not have read access to the Oracle Client installation location. Granting the account that develops or executes the SSIS package, read access to the Oracle Client folder solved the issue.
