I'm running SCE 2007 SP1 and I'm trying to disable scheduled agent discovery and installation. I've configured overrides to disable scheduled agent discovery but I'm still seeing agents getting installed on my computers. Hi Yog Li, I've run Feature Configuration Wizard and disable scheduled discovery. I'll wait 1-2 days to see if this has fixed issue and report back with update. Thanks for your help so far. Shazad

Is there anyway to confirm on SCE Server (registry) that scheduled discovery has been disabled? I removed SCE agent from a computer by going into administration > Agents Managed. Checking 1 hour later under pending management PC was back and agent installation was in progress. I've now tried disabling scheduled discovery by running Feature Configuration Wizard and using instructions outlined in this article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff730526.aspx but I still can't get it work. The Override that you made is configured in a MP that you selected to store it. Did you check that the new configuration is applied and then you made the changes? Also, if you do not want the run the discovery, can you create an override that disables the rule? That should disable the daily discovery of the computers. you can verify whether the schedule discovery is running or not by just looking at event viewer on SCE machine.... SCE logs an event(11553) under operations manager section when ever there is a schedule discovery done.
