Copying an Entire Exchange Mailbox

Hello,

Is there to archive to .pst without moving any of the original files?  I basically just want a copy of the original mailbox.  Not looking to save space by moving emails.  Trying to get a duplicate of all emails into a .pst.

Thanks,

With Outlook, or with Exchange?  With Outlook, export the mailbox to a PST (File, then Open & Export, then Import/Export, then select a PST).  With Exchange New-MailboxExportRequest.

Hi,

Thank you for your question.

By my understanding, if the email has been in mailbox, we could archive to PST file and copy PST to another location. Then, we could export PST to OST.

If we want to copy email which is going to users inbox, we could use transport rule to CC email to another mailbox, then archive to PST file.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim
