Copy site settings to use for other sites.
Pratik's method is a very useful one. But note that you will always need to specify the users again for each site. (This is of course made easier if you already have them assigned to suitable SharePoint Groups.)SP 2010 "FAQ" (mainly useful links): http://wssv4faq.mindsharp.com/default.aspx WSS3/MOSS FAQ (FAQ and Links) http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com/default.aspx Both also have links to extensive book lists and to (free) on-line chapters

I have to create many different sites that are very similar in structure. The doc libs have the same folder structure and the users are more or less the same. I have created a completed version of one site, everything is how I want it to be, how can I copy/paste that site to use it in the other sites? (minus all of the uploaded documents)

There is another option in SharePoint through which you can save the site as a template and in future you can use that template to create another site. This will even give you option to save it excluding content as well.Regards, Pratik Vyas | SharePoint Consultant |

It's ok if I have to specify the users again, but where is this 'save as template' button. I can´t see it in Site Settings.

Agree with Mike, But if its publishing site you will not get that option under look and feel so you have to disable - Office SharePoint Server Standard Site features - feature under site administation. Else you can manually hardcode url like http://servername/_layouts/savetmpl.aspx which will give you option to save a site as a templateRegards, Pratik Vyas | SharePoint Consultant |

I can see Page layout and Site Template, but it only includes something about subsites. Is this the option you were referring to in the look and feel column?
