Conversion from matrix to tablix error with ReportItems function
Hi everibody, after migration wizard from SQL 2005 SSRS to 2008 R2 I can't elaborate some reports that use the ReportItems("textboxxx").Value function. I notice that cells that are in error refer to matrix colums that are changed in tablix. While i used the function in 2005 it aggregate the values, in 2008 the aggregated (total) value is in a separate column of the tablix. Is there a way to access that data without remapping all fields in my report? Thanks, DB

Hi Davide, From you description, my understanding is that you want to use the ReportItems("textboxxx").Value function to refer to some fields in 2005, but subtotal is added as a new textbox object after the migration to 2008 R2, so that you get a wrong aggregated value. Unfortunately, adding the subtotal column with the name "textboxxx" is the default behavior of SSRS 2008 R2 by design, you can't change it. So you'd better try to remap the fields manually. If there is anything unclear, please feel free to ask. Thanks, Albert Ye
