I have created a list & enabled "Allow management content types" option, but I am not able to see the "Content type" field for this list.(Need to do some filters on this list based on the content type field).

Please suggest & let me know if you have any queries.

A content type isn't a field, it's a collection of them wrapped together to meet a need. When you activate this function within a list / library, it creates a new set of options in the List Settings. Go back to the site settings and you should see something similar to the below.  If you add more than one content type to your library, you'll get the ability to switch between them on the EditForms

Thanks a lot for your response. I have an issue with this, Please check the below screenshot for MOSS 2007.



But the same option I am not able to see for the SharePoint 2013, though the "Allow management content types" enabled.

Please suggest.
