We've defined a Content Type. It appears in the Site Content Type Gallery under the "Document Content Types" Site Content Type. It was created using an Excel Workbook (uploaded in the Document Template section on the Site Content Type Advanced Settings page). We want to add it to an existing List, but when we choose the "Add from existing site content types" in the Customize page for the List, the Group that it is a member of is unavailable in the "Select site content types from:" drop-down list. How can I configure my list to include the Document Content Types Group in the available Content Types? Thanks.

Hi, For the list with different type, the SharePoint will trim the content type automatically using build-in functions. So I don’t think you can add your content type from document content type into common list. Hope it is helpful!Seven
