Content Search Web Part not showing anything

Hi,

I have added content search web part as I want to search results for multiple columns But webpart is not showing recently modified items also in SEARCH RESULT PREVIEW. I have to enable any feature or I have to do any configuration for that.

Please help .

The content search web part will only show results that have been crawled by the search crawler.  So its normal that there will be a delay between the time something is modified and the time it shows up in the Search web part.  Is that what you mean by "not showing recently modified items"?  If so, then there is no way to fix that.  It is by design.  All you can do is increase the frequency of crawls to shorten the latency.

No , I mean to say that it is not showing any result by creating any query. As per my knowledge default nature of CSWP is that it shows recently modified items in right pane of change query window when we open it, but in my case it is not showing  recently mod

Is this on SharePoint Online or SharePoint on-premise ?. SharePoint 2013 has a new feature called continuous crawl. You can configure this for every 5 mts. For some reason, if your document or list not picked by SharePoint crawler, you can force the crawler to pick the items for sharepoint index.

Manage Continious Crawl

Re-Index Document or Site or List.

Hi Sriram,

Thanks for the reply. I have started full crawl and now I am able to see results.

Now I just want to know how to filter list with some column names  like coumn1, column2 , column 3 etc.....

Please suggest me how to achieve this.

Using managed properties , you will able to filter the search results. in SharePoint 2013, once crawl is completed, SharePoint automatically creates the managed properties.

for example : column1 is a text columns, the managed properties will be column1OWSTxt.  You can use this managed property name to filter the search results.
