Content Query Webpart - Enterprise Keywords

I have a document center site with a fairly large document repository.

Throughout the site a number of Content Query Web Parts have been used to query for documents based on the Enterprise Keywords. Due to a recent issue we had to stop people uploading to the existing library and start a new library using the same site content type.

When trying to change the scope of the Content Query Web Parts from the library to the web and site collection level all the other Managed Metadata fields are still available to filter by but the Enterprise Keywords column is available.

The enterprise keywords column is defined in the Site Content Type.

Can anyone think of a way I can make this happen?

Hi,

I tested the same scenario per your post, and I got the same results as you got.

The Enterprise Keywords column is not displayed in the additional filters when selecting Show items from all sites in this site collection.

As a workaround, I recommend using a custom managed metadata column instead of the Enterprise Keywords column.

And choose All Content Types instead of the corresponding content type in Content Query Web Part.

Thanks,

Victoria

Thanks for the answer. But it doesn't really solve the problem.

I have a large library with a significant amount of data in it with a lot of metadata recorded against Enterprise Keywords.

Currently the end users, use the CQWP to display relevant data on there own page.

If it was SharePoint 2013, I could do what i want to easily with the Content Search Web Part... unfortunately SharePoint 2013 is a way off in this instance.... may be a big enough driver to push for an upgrade.

It is also possible to write a custom web part that will do what I need... but I'd prefer not to introduce custom code in this instance.

Hi,

So far, there is no OOB way to achieve this goal.

You need to create custom web part with code to achieve your goal as you mentioned.

Thanks,

Victoria
